Location- I  found a aesthetically pleasing, white wall near the AICE Media Studies classroom. I thought this would be a good location for shooting in the photos of the people that I interviewed. Because the white wall is very simple and doesn’t cause distraction. Plus it brings more attention to the people being interviewed.

 Questions for Interview with Sadie Phillips and Izzie Radford.
Main Topic-  Do you feel your opinion as a teen and future voter matters in today’s political climate?

Q1- Do you think society values your opinion regarding politics?

Q2- Do you plan to vote in the 2020 election? (if you can)

Q3- What is a political topic, in today’s climate that is controversial, that you are very passionate about and what is your stance on that topic?

Q4- “Is there any topic specifically that you strongly disagree with that our current president and his administration are for?”

Q5-  If you were able to vote in the 2016 election who would’ve you voted for? Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump if those are your only options?

Q6-  Politically, use three words to represent your values.

Q7-  What party would you consider yourself a part of and why?

Q8- What is one stance that your opposing party is for that you agree with?

Q9- Do you believe that our government should lower the voting age and if so to what age would that be?

Planning Activities -Table of Contents Template

For the table contents I listed my main headlining articles and interviews. This draws attention to the main political ideas being addressed. Which are LGBTQ+ rights, abortion, religion in politics, and teenage representation in politics. I will use one photo as a background and/or two photos in the table of contents. I am using the same font as my cover page which is the "IMPACT" font to create a old time, political feel throughout the whole magazine, including the table of contents.

Modern Politics is the title of my political/op-ed magazine. The name was produced by combining young perspectives on the political world and politics itself. I chose the "Impact" font because it has political, old English undertones and is a metal type alternative to European designs. "Impact" is also easy to read as it isn't over the top. Which is needed to highlight what is being talked about not what it looks like. 

Magazine Project Genre Research- L'actualité

L'actualité is a Canadian French-language news and general interest magazine published in Montreal by Rogers Communications until 2016, then by Mishmash. The magazine has over a million readers, according to Canada's Print Measurement Bureau, from its circulation which is mainly subscribers. They release print twenty times a year and daily on their website. The current issue they have released is on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau 2019 advantage, fear of genetically altered plants, Canada cultural agenda, interviews with Nadine Bismuth, and conservative party voters thinking there are "too many immigrants in Canada. The cover headlines the overall topic of this edition, which is Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The advertisements in their print and digital works are mainly French- Canadian and Canadian businesses ads and political ads along with material item advertisements. The magazine gives out awards more than received. They give out theses, dissertation, and articles awards.
