Fox News is an American pay television news channel owned by the Fox News Group, a division of Fox. Their audience is mainly conservatives of all ages. The youngest being 18, all the way to seniors. They appeal logically to republicans and conservatives and often cause controversy with liberals. Overall the use emotional appeals of young girls being killed by illegal immigrants to stir up support of certain policies and logical appeals such as their polls and articles also stir up support. Same as any other political commentary/new channel they attract those who agree with their rhetoric.
The New York Times is an American newspaper based in New York City with worldwide influence and readership. Founded in 1851, the paper has won 125 Pulitzer Prizes, more than any other newspaper. The Times is ranked 17th in the world by circulation and 2nd in the U.S. Regular readers of the New York Times. The NYT readers also tend to be younger than average. Nearly a third (32%) of regular Times readers – are younger than 30. However, they do have a older audience as well. With articles on grandchildren, debt, and 401ks they appeal more logically to older audiences though majority of their audience is young, working, and liberal. The NYT does have both conservative and liberal stances throughout the magazine.

Political satirist Stephen Colbert takes on cable-news pundits in this show, which centers around his essential rightness about the issues of the day. Colbert portrays a caricature of conservative political pundits often seen on TV. 43% of Colbert’s regular audience is younger than 30. Majority of his audience, since they are young are either in college or starting in jobs. So working young adults and entrepreneurs are his main audience. He uses humor as a emotional appeal to this audience. Also older liberals and die hard democrats could also be apart of his audience. So he does have appeal to an older audience. He uses more older logical appeals for this audience.
