AICE QUARTER 3 Submission

For my third quarter submission. I made two main revisions. For first revision, I edited my interview by emboldening the questions so its easier to track the questions and answers. I also added a darker background color and a lighter text color so its easier to read the text. I also added columns so its easier to read and wont take up too much space.
For my second revision, I edited my table of contents. I added a darker background color and a lighter text color so its easier to read the text. The darker color compliments the black and white photos and and text.

"Modern Politics" Distribution Plan

For Modern Politics digital distribution as well as print distribution would work wonderfully. For print, a distribution of bi-monthly would be most effective. Just as other political magazines i.e New York Times, Washington Post, etc. In terms of digitally, a website with a daily or bi or try-weekly posts would be the same as most successful political magazines. As well as using young activists and influencers to spread knowledge of the issues debated and talked about in this magazine. As well as ads on social media platforms such as Youtube, Instagram, and possibly a series with a host on Snapchat like Good Luck America.

Digital Distribution 3- The New York Times

Digital Distribution 2- Becoming by Michelle Obama

Digital Distribution for print such as a book or magazine is very similar to digital distribution for film. Michelle used lots of forms of PR to distribute.  Print is digitally distributed through online reading platforms and excerpts being shown on digital shows and platforms. Becoming by Michelle Obama digitally distributes by appearing on TEDTALKs so spread the books audience. She also appeared on Talk shows which gives a audio portion of the digital distribution they used.

Traditional Distribution

Traditional marketing is any type of marketing or advertising method. These methods are used by certain companies for years, and that has a proven success rate. Methods of traditional marketing can include print advertisements, billboards, flyers or pamphlets, TV, newspaper, radio, etc. Traditional distribution is not as popular today since digital distribution exists and our society revolves around technology. Traditional Distribution is used in metropolitan cities mainly like in cities such as New York City, you can see traditional distribution everywhere. From newsstands and subscription distribution to taxis with print advertisements, newspaper stands, and large billboards in Times Square and around the city.

Marketing Research 3- Becoming by Michelle Obama

The marketing research I found on Becoming was very vast. Michelle team used lots of forms of PR to distribute. Print is digitally distributed through online reading platforms and excerpts being shown on digital shows and platforms. They had ads on lots of television networks.  Becoming by Michelle Obama digitally distributes by appearing on TEDTALKs as well as having popular celebrities such as Sarah Jessica Parker and Gayle King to bring in more younger and "hip" audiences as well as long time viewers of these popular celebrities. She also used social media to her advantage and used influencers and Snapchat and Instagram ads for Becoming.

Marketing Research 2- The New York Times

The New York Times is an American newspaper based in New York City with worldwide influence and readership. Founded in 1851, the paper has won 125 Pulitzer Prizes, more than any other newspaper. The Times is ranked 17th in the world by circulation and 2nd in the U.S. Regular readers of the New York Times. The NYT markets very differently. In New York City you can see ads on taxi cabs and on buildings. However they use newspaper stands and online ads to market their company. According to their website their marketing values say "Marketing plays a key part in extending the journalistic legacy and mission of The Times into the future. Our job is to answer the question, “Why is quality journalism worth paying for?” We create purposeful marketing that demonstrates our mission, how we’re leading the journalism industry and all the ways our readers can subscribe."

Marketing Research 1- L'actualité

L'actualité is a Canadian French-language news and general interest magazine published in Montreal by Rogers Communications until 2016, then by Mishmash. The magazine has over a million readers, according to Canada's Print Measurement Bureau, from its circulation which is mainly subscribers. They market with many ads. They pay to be on French-Canadian television stations and promote products that bring them in revenue as well. They set there magazine price at a low cost if you purchase a monethy circulation and online pay wall plan. This low price is to compete with other magazines. There market there magazine to be sold in areas of high population so the circulation is wide and everyone sees the articles and problems the magazines address.
